YSI at the 2025 Miami International Boat Show
The 2025 Miami International Boat Show brought the marine industry together at Herald Plaza and the Miami Beach Convention Center from February 12–16. YSI exhibited at B Dock and hosted a concurrent private showcase at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters on the New River — giving serious buyers an alternative to the crowds and a chance for real time on the water.
What We Showcased
The centerpiece of YSI’s 2025 show presence was the 2024 Greenline 45 Fly Hybrid — one of the first North American examples featuring Greenline’s Gen 6 hybrid system. The Gen 6 represents a meaningful upgrade over previous H-Drive versions: improved battery capacity, more refined solar integration, and a smarter energy management system that extends generator-free anchoring time in real-world conditions.
For attendees who had followed Greenline’s hybrid development over the years, the Gen 6 system was a tangible demonstration of how far the platform has come. The 45 Fly’s flybridge layout allowed us to show the solar roof in context — not as a spec sheet figure, but as a functioning system that was actively charging while visitors were aboard.
The Fort Lauderdale Private Showcase
Running parallel to the show floor exhibit, YSI hosted a private dock showcase at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters — 400 SW 1st Ave, Suite 1 — with over 300 feet of yacht lineup available for private tours and sea trials by appointment.
The response confirmed what we’ve heard consistently: serious buyers prefer the one-on-one environment of a private dock over the convention center floor. Appointments allow for real conversations, proper technical evaluation, and — when conditions allow — actual time on the water. The show floor is excellent for discovery; the private dock is where decisions get made.
We run this format every year during show week. For information on upcoming private showcase events, see our Private Dock Showcase page.
Greenline Gen 6: What’s New
The Gen 6 hybrid system featured on the 2024 Greenline 45 Fly builds on the proven H-Drive architecture with several refinements that matter in practice:
- Expanded LiFePO₄ battery bank — increased capacity for longer generator-free anchoring, particularly relevant for overnight stays in the Bahamas and Florida anchorages
- Enhanced solar integration — improved charge management between the solar roof and battery bank, with better performance under partial cloud cover
- Smarter energy management — the onboard system now optimizes between solar input, battery state, and hotel loads more intelligently, reducing the situations where supplemental generator use is needed
- Improved electric-mode range — refined motor efficiency extends the range available in full electric mode for harbor and no-wake zone operation
For owners who spend significant time at anchor — Bahamas cruisers, Great Loop runners, and Florida coastal cruisers — the Gen 6 system changes the daily experience in meaningful ways. See our post on why silent anchoring changes everything for a detailed look at what this means in practice.
YSI at Miami Boat Show: Year After Year
Miami International Boat Show week is one of the most concentrated periods of buyer activity in our market. For YSI, it’s an annual opportunity to put the boats we believe in in front of the buyers who are ready to make decisions — not just browse.
If you missed the 2025 show, the Greenline 45 Fly and the broader Greenline hybrid lineup remain available for private sea trials from Fort Lauderdale year-round. The Gen 6 system is now standard across new 45 Fly builds.
Contact YSI to arrange a private sea trial or consultation — or browse current Greenline hybrid inventory to see what’s available now.
